TERRI LYNE CARRINTON: DRUMMER This is really getting serious for our jazz girls! Terri Lyne Carrington, one of the world´s best percussionists is coming to Voss for our annual Jente Jazz concert. Hard to believe but true! Her reasons for saying yes to Vossjazzskule are due to strong recommendations from our pervious guest artists Joshua Redman and Tineke Postma who spoke of the fantastic contribution the girls make both to the school as well as to the cultural life in Voss.

About Voss Jazzskule
Established in 2007 the role of VossJazzskule is to enable pupils from the local community and beyond, to realise their potential for musical communication.
This is achieved largely through developing excellent performers of music taken from Jazz styles. The school aims to bring students maximum enjoyment of music as art which, in turn, will encourage them to work at their best.
Through the many concerts given to audiences in the local community the students gain confidence in performance.
They are especially encouraged to achieve a high level of technical and musical mastery as they are given opportunities to play alongside artists drawn from both the Jazz milieu in Norway and from all over the world.
